Why vielife Case studies
Since 2007, Telefonica has partnered with vielife to deliver targeted health promotion initiatives to promote a productive, healthy and engaged workforce. The launch of vielife Online in conjunction with proactive healthy lifestyle programmes has helped Telefonica achieve a 15.8% improvement in nutrition, 10.7% improvement in risk behaviour and 9.3% improvement in stress.
Working in partnership with vielife, NHS Bolton launched the Health Trainer programme to help tackle serious health inequalities and poor life expectancy in the borough. As a result of the programme, NHS Bolton has been able to measure and monitor the health & well-being of participants and help them make positive lifestyle changes to reduce their health risks and improve their quality of life.
vielife Online was launched for a six-month pilot project in two populations within Prudential UK. In pilot population no. 1 absence was reduced by 66% (from six to two days per person per year) and overall health & well-being scores improved by 16.5% in the engaged population – those who took the health & well-being assessment at two time points. Pilot population no. 2 saw an overall improvement in health & well-being scores of 10.1% in the engaged population.
Connect 4 Life (C4L) is a pilot health improvement programme developed by Tameside & Glossop PCT and vielife in partnership with local GPs, the local council and the voluntary sector with the objective of tackling health inequalities in the community.

An independent economic evaluation of the C4L programme concluded that C4L is a highly effective use of NHS resources. If the project approach is applied to a target population of 10,000 individuals over a 10-year period, the potential saving from avoiding associated cost of managing heart disease, stroke and premature deaths would be in the region of £1.3 million.

Severn Trent Water (STW) is the world's fourth largest privately owned water company, serving over 8 million customers across the heart of the UK. Since working with vielife STW has won key personnel/health awards and 60% of employees are already engaged with the service.
Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council provides council services to the East Manchester area of Tameside. The implementation of vielife health promotion initiatives resulted in improvements across the board over the first seven months - most notably a 16% improvement in stress scores and 15% improvement in nutrition scores.
Standard Life Healthcare (SLH) is one of the largest providers of private medical insurance in the UK. SLH experienced a 13.3% improvement in company-wide overall health & well-being assessment scores as well as overall improvements in self-reported effectiveness at work and a decrease in sickness absence.
Bedfordshire Police Force approached vielife to adopt a more proactive approach to lifestyle related health issues. Since vielife launched Bedfordshire Police demonstrated an 11% improvement in nutrition and 7% improvement in stress management scores.
